The 3rd and 4th grade students wrote wonderful poems during the month of April. The students in Ms. Lewis’s class wrote free verse, and those in Ms. Koch’s class wrote haiku. Both classes searched for an image that matched part of their poem, and then cut out a part of it to use as a stencil. Students then created a watercolor picture around their stencil. The students in Ms. Lewis’s class video-taped each other reading their poems for a Whole School Meeting. These were incorporated into an iMovie, along with a screen shot of their poem, original image and watercolor.
